Large Corm Riser Pot (Puddle Method)
Elevate your puddle method corm growing to new heights with these corm risers.
A simple, effective way to root and sprout multiple corms using the puddle method.
Designed to keep corms elevated above the water line while maintaining consistent moisture, these risers help reduce the risk of rot while allowing roots easy access to water below.
Perfect for growers who want a quick, substrate free method of propagating corms.
What's Included
1 × Large Custom Corm Riser - in a colour of your choice
1 × Clear 8oz Pot and Lid
Simply add your corm(s) and a small amount of water, then sit back and let nature do the rest.
Why Use a Corm Riser?
I have always found the puddle method to be the fastest and simplest way to start corms. There's no substrate to prepare and no wick system to assemble—just place your corms on the riser, add water beneath, and you're ready to go.
The raised design allows for:
Increased water capacity between top-ups
Reduced risk of accidental drying out
Improved airflow around the corms
Lower risk of rot compared to sitting directly in water
Room for multiple corms in a single pot
Large Size Benefits
The 8oz pot provides ample space for rooting and early growth, making it ideal for starting several corms at once.
The added height also gives developing shoots room to grow and push out their first leaf or two before needing to be transplanted.
Once growth begins, you can either:
Remove the lid and continue growing in a high-humidity environment such as a cabinet or prop box, or
Pot the corms on into their next growing container.
Material Options
Colours marked with ** are printed in PLA.
PLA offers the widest range of colours, best print quality and is more than suitable for the intended use of this product. While PLA is generally less resistant to prolonged heat and humidity than PETG, I have used PLA planters and self-watering outers in my grow tent that sits around 28°C and 80–95% humidity for over two years without any issue.
Colours without ** are printed in PETG.
PETG offers increased durability, better heat resistance, and improved long-term performance in demanding environments.
Both PLA and PETG are suitable for use in a corm cup, however if you prefer the most durable option with the best long-term performance then a PETG option should be chosen.
Please note: To ensure long-term durability, these inserts should be used under normal room temperature conditions. They are not designed for use with heat mats, germination mats, or other heated surfaces, as prolonged exposure to heat may cause slight warping.
